Notch has today revealed on his blog the date when Minecraft will finally emerge from beta status.
Apparently after a quick board meeting at Mojang the team has come up with November the 11th as a release date. Clearly as well as being the release date for Skyrim the date is simple to remember being 11/11/11.
Notch explained that the game when released won’t be that different from before release, “It’s more a progress up until that point”. He went on to say the team are using the date as “a milestone when we finally get rid of the Beta label”
The beta discount surely won’t last forever so maybe now is the right time to get Minecraft but is it your sort of game? Comment your opinions below.
