GDC 11: Nintendo 3DS to Have DSi Ware, Virtual Console and 3D Classics

Nintendo is pleased to reveal today that starting late May, the Nintendo 3DS will receive a worldwide firmware update that adds a lot of functionality including DSi Ware, Virtual Console, and 3D Classics.

When the update is released on May, players who has a lot of DSi games purchased can now transfer it to the Nintendo 3DS. More will be revealed on how it’s going to work soon. In addition to the DSi Ware service, Nintendo is also planning to remaster some of its classic into full 3D. Wii’s Virtual Console will also make an appearance allowing everyone to download classic games from classic consoles such as Turbo Grafx.
