GDC 11: Sony Shows Off More From Its NGP

The Game Developers Conference 2011 is under way at San Francisco and Sony showed more about what its NGP is capable of.

Sony’s conference was an hour long and it showcased some of the new features that the device can do. Thanks to Joystiq, here is a brief summary of the presentation.

One of the videos that were shown was for a game called Little Deviants. The game sees you navigating a little creature (in the shape of a ball) around their small world. You can make use of the NGP’s touch screen to help control the creature as well as its innovate rear touchscreen.

Uncharted was the other game that was showcased during the conference. It also makes use of the touchscreens as you get to control Nathan Drake as he climbs steep cliffs and other obstacles. You can also make use of the NGP’s motion controls while he swings from a rope to propel him forward. Uncharted looks like it will make use of all of NGP’s new capabilities.

Sony’s NGP is due out later this year.
