Crysis 2 PC Update Removes Auto Aim

Crytek has released a patch earlier this week that fixes some bugs in the game. Controversially, the auto aim has been removed.

Most of the changes that were made fixed ongoing problems with the PC version of the game. Some of these included USB connection issues with headsets, cheat detection and online connection issues.

The reason to remove auto-aim was made “due to overwhelming community feedback.” If you were in the minority, it’s sad to say that the feature won’t likely will be seen to reappear anytime soon.

Here are the full changes made from the patch:

*Server Browser shows incorrect pings – Fixed
*Some matches never initiate – Fixed
*Faster text chat – As speedy as can be
*Console re-enabled – Console has been re-activated
*Cheat detection – Now in place to ensure all users are on a level playing field
*Fix USB headset issues – Current issues have been addressed and fixed
*Fix hologram icon staying on screen after being used – Fixed
*Remove Auto Aim – This has now been completely removed due to overwhelming community feedback

  1. “Controversially, the auto aim has been removed.”

I haven’t heard any controversy over the removal of the the auto aim system from the pc version of the game. People seem to be unanimously happy that crytech have done this.

  2. lol wut ‘controversially…removed.’?

We celebrate that the retarded auto-aim has been removed. It’s a controversy tat its actually there in the first place.

Who needs auto-aim? oh wait noobs. Noobs on consoles. Because console FPS gamers will die without auto-aim. Because u cant aim for nuts without it on consoles.

But wait, this is the PC version u retard. We dont need a fcking auto-aim u fool.

  3. Fuck you. Just because you don’t want to play with auto-aim shouldn’t mean those of us who prefer a contoler for their gaming rig should be at a disadvantage. I want my money back assholes
