It has been announced that a Gran Turismo 5 receive an update this month by Polyphony Digital’s Kaz Yamauchi on social networking site Twitter.
Kaz said the update would be mid-February and with February be a short month the update is upon us! We are not quite sure what the update will include either more content or a fix of some kind but we cannot be sure at this moment in time.

A month ago, Kazunori Yamauchi said that there will be an update in February to include the ability to play B-spec on your PC, known as “Gran Turismo Anywhere”. There may be other fixes, but that should be the major feature in the update.
