Possible Ban On Hackers In The Future

With the recent crack of the PS3 system, hackers are jumping for joy. Free games and the ability to make the online community a living hell for those of us who play games the honest way. It’s their paradise right? Well hopefully not according to what one Neogaf user posted.

According to the Neogaf user, every time you turn your system on the console communicates with a certain set of Sony servers and runs a log of what applications are running on the system. You can view his entry here. This Hopefully means that the hackers will be seeing the ban hammer from Sony in the near future should this information be true. One could only hope right?

  1. Yep. that’s all people want to do. all homebrew is piracy. we want to make you suffer by playing snes9x. backups don’t even work on it yet. even if they did, they are BACKUPS. not ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADED ISOs. a game like say “The Sly Collection” is a 22 Gb file. and that’s a relatively small ps3 game. yeah. we’re gonna take the three weeks to download THAT.

    thats actually a higher end one…

    Overlord = 4
    Vanquish = 10
    sega megadrive = 1
    Medal of Honor = 10
    white knight = 10
    creed brotherhood = 5
    splatterhouse = 5
    read dead = 9
    disgaea 3 = 2
    Blazblue CS = 7

    I can do this all day… but on the list I was looking at Sly beat out GT 5…

    The simple fact of the matter is downloading anything listed here wouldnt be a problem for MOST people, even myself with shit hole internet could download most in a day or two. Regardless of how you see it, these are completely realistic downloads for most people, and even if you say “Backups” you can obtain a subscription like service IE Gamefly… I mean I would pay 30 a month for that if it gets me all the games I want to copy on my ps3 to own forever. You just need 1 a month to make it a profit =P
