If you own one of the original 360’s, let this be a fair warning to you that there is a chance of your console failing due to compatibility errors. The Microsoft Kinect was launched along with a new model of the 360, slimmer and more refined as well as newer models of the arcade version as well so it makes sense that there could be some unforeseen glitch in the programming.
Kind of like Y2k if you think about it. Microsoft users have been commenting about their consoles failing just moments after turning on their Kinect peripheral. Though this isn’t an official confirmation, let this be a fair warning to you that there could be a chance of the Red Ring of Kinect Death if you use an older (3-4 years ago) model of the Xbox 360.
