E3 2010: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Hands-On Impression Lives Up to the Original

Square Enix has a lot of games in store for us, but the game that a lot of people want to play is the upcoming Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep on the PSP. At E3, there were about a dozen people at the PSP kiosk on the show floor and the level that everyone got to play, including myself, was the Cinderella level.

As in every Kingdom Hearts game, players can expect to see a lot of Disney characters. In the level that I get to play, Aqua is in the palace where the Prince is looking for the owner of the glass slippers. The three wicked step-sisters and the stepmother made an appearance in the game as well. After the scene, Terra appeared and was asking Aqua if she had seen Xenohort. For gamers who played Kingdom Hearts 2, Xenohort is a name that you should be familiar.

The Kingdom Hearts games that came out on the Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance were completely different from the Playstation version. After a brief taste of the battle system, I am glad to know that Birth By Sleep is a complete Kingdom Hearts experience that fans of the original will love. From the battle system to the gameplay mechanics of the game, players will be playing a title that lives up to the original series.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is scheduled for release this September on the PSP. Check back with us near the release date for our review of the game. Forget Kingdom Hearts III, Birth By Sleep is something everyone needs to play this year on the PSP.
