What Games Can We Expect in NIS America’s Press Event?

The annual press event for NIS America is taking place in San Francisco this July. As always, there will be games that will be announced for North America.

NIS America is one of the leading publishers in North America and Europe that brings a variety of Japanese role-playing titles such as Disgaea and Ar Tonelico. Year after year, people are excited in the announcement that NIS America always makes in their Press Event. Since we don’t have any clue (hehe..) as to what titles NIS America will be bringing this 2010-2011, we would like to list down all of the possible titles that will be coming out:

1. Classic Dungeon (PSP)
Classic Dungeon is somehow similar to From Software’s 3D Dot Game Heroes. Going back to the roots of classic gaming, Classic Dungeon is a 2D side scrolling adventure game. The game will feature a cast of nine playable characters in which one character will play a supporting and lead role. There will be a character creation tool in which players can make their imaginary character come true.

2. Atelier Rorona (PS3)
Atelier Rorona is already scheduled for a Fall release exclusively on the PlayStation 3. We should expect some presentation going on about this game. Atelier Rorona is Gust’s follow-up title to the Atelier series that did well on the PlayStation 2. The game will include alchemy, Japanese role-playing elements, and vibrant graphics.

3. Ar Tonelico 3 (PS3)
This game is most likely to be announced at this year’s press event and is scheduled for Q1 2011. Ar Tonelico is one of the controversial games of Nippon Ichi due to its greenish conversation that somehow have references to porn. According to our sources, Ar Tonelico is sure to be coming next year exclusively on the PlayStation 3!

4. Cross Edge (XBOX 360)
Despite its mediocre gameplay, there’s a small chance that NIS America will be bringing the Xbox 360 version of Cross Edge. A lot of RPG fans have been disappointed with the game due to its difficulty. Cross Edge is a title where characters from various NIS and Gust titles are the stars in one game. As I said, this might come out in North America but only a small chance.

5. Atelier Totori (PS3)
Even though Atelier Rorona have not made any appearances in North America yet, there’s a chance Totori is already in the works for localization. Atelier Totori is the follow-up title to the hit Atelier Rorona in Japan that was released a couple of years ago. Should we expect this to be shown in the Press Event? Most likely not!
