As many of you who follow the gaming industry closely may know, former heads of Infinity Ward Jason West and Vince Zampalla were out of nowhere taken out of their positions by employer Activision. In response, the two engaged in a legal battle with Activision and are still fighting to this day a month later. Amiss all the chaos , the two found time to announce today that they are involved in their own company titled Respawn Entertainment and they are partnered with EA.
They stated today in a talk with Eurogamer that they would like their first title to be “a big summer blockbuster” but they are not working on anything in particular yet. When questioned by Eurogamer what type of game they would like to make as their first title, West responded:
“It’s premature right now. We’re focused on getting the team. We know we want it to be a big summer blockbuster, we want it to be something our fans will really enjoy, but there’s nothing specific yet.”
