I miss the good old days when vidya gaems were something to be feared by teachers… Shigeru Miyamoto, great gaming legend, recently revealed Nintendo’s plans to get their DS console into schools.
That is maybe the area where I am devoting myself [the] most,” Japanese video game guru Shigeru Miyamoto told The Associated Press in an interview.
Speaking through a translator, Miyamoto said that Nintendo’s DS console was already being used in Japanese museums, galleries and aquariums, and that his company was beginning to roll out the Nintendo DS system “in junior high and elementary schools in Japan starting in the new school year.

Well Nintendo, that’s some great marketing there. I wouldn’t mind it; being able to sit in class with a DS and pretend to play Brain Training while really playing something like Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story or Pokémon HeartGold. Hopefully it works out.
