Video Game Writers honored at 2010 Writers Guild Awards

The Writers Guild of America West and East announced in a press release on their website today their nominees “for outstanding achievement in videogame writing.”  This is the third year the WGA has recognized video game writers; Dead Head Fred won top honors in 2007, while Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was the winner in 2008.  The awards ceremony for the East and West divisions will be held simultaneously on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles and the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.  The site also notes that this year they received twice as many submissions for the award.
