While One PIece is on break for the next couple of weeks, fans were given something else to look forward to. That is the announcement of a new One Piece game called One Piece Unlimited World: Red. The announcement simply gives the name and has a picture of the strawhats fighting a dragon, which suggests the game will include Punk Hazard in some capacity. Despite the lack of information at the moment, the gameplay and title suggest it might be a spin off of the Unlimited Cruise series, which got an updated 3DS port a while back. It seems quite possible that this game will continue in the same footsteps as those games, but also include the later Mermaid Island and Punk Hazard stories. [Source: APForums ]

After getting a last minute delay earlier this year, it seems Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will be releasing in the US and EU this winter. This updated port of the semi popular Vita game, features all the same content as before, but with an additional dungeon and probably some other unannounced things. In addition to new content, the game is making its first appearance on the PlayStation 3 and will feature cross-play for those interested.

Ever since the PS2 came out in the year 2000, most console released after that could have been played from both a horizontal or vertical positions. This does not seem to be the case for the Xbox One. Microsoft confirmed to IGN about the preferred position for the Xbox One: “Designed as a premium entertainment system that is aesthetically at home in the living room, the console is intended to sit horizontally. Additionally, the airflow and venting system was optimized for this horizontal orientation.” The Xbox One looks massive and I’m sure people that buy the system will need to make more room to fit it in their lounge. Not to mention the Kinect 2.0 needs to be connected to the console at all times as well.

The release of SWTOR Game Update 2.1 a couple of weeks ago wasn’t well received by a lot of people due to the implementation of the appearance designer through the use of Cartel Coins. If you’re expecting a much better game update with 2.2 and beyond, it seems that what BioWare delivers isn’t satisfying enough for those paying a monthly subscription Earlier this morning, Bruce Maclean, Senior Producer of Star Wars: The Old Republic released some sort of a road map where he outlined the future of the game through the upcoming game updates. When 2.1 was released, a lot of people were disappointed due to the fact that it did not benefit any of the subscribers at all. To ease up the frustration and disappointment of the raging fans, BioWare stated that game update 2.2 will offer better content. Today, the planned update they want to release for Game Update 2.2 this June 11th isn’t enough… Nightmare Mode Terror From Beyond. It’s got vicious new mechanics and is definitely not for the faint of heart. I’m very excited for you to see the new gear that comes with this, which uses a new appearance system we’ve developed for armor and weapons called ‘Scrolling UVs’. New Guild Bonuses! Players in guilds currently receive a +5% experience bonus, but now every 5 active players in the guild will add an additional 1% bonus to XP and reputation, up to a maximum bonus of 10% each. Crafters can now craft Underworld gear! But don’t RE that piece if you are still using it… Unified fleet chat channel for each faction, for easier group finding without having to hop between instances. From the big update they promised that is coming to Game Update 2.2, the above “supposed” new stuff that will become available on June 11th isn’t even big. Analyzing the content they plan to release in Game Update 2.2, it’s pretty much just a recycled new content but made harder, plus a guild bonus that is pretty much useless. Since BioWare is simply just taking all of the things WoW already has, can’t they just do one update for all the guild perks instead of dividing it into different game updates? Seriously BioWare, is this what you call a big game update? Well waiting for two months following the release of 2.2 in June, Game Update 2.3 is coming. Should you be excited? Maybe or maybe not. They promised: New Flashpoints New Daily Area New Recurring Event Significant graphical upgrades Supposed new flashpoints are expected to be released this August. Will it be new? I highly doubt it as we pretty much expected it will simply be recycled flashpoints like: Lost Island, Red Reaper, and Colocoid War game to be scaled up and call it Hard Mode. If this is what BioWare plans for the new flashpoints they promised, expect a lot of raging fans again. What about PvP? Well, those who are still hoping BioWare will add new PvP content will...

Call of Juarez is a name which is sure to stir up mixed emotions. The initial entry and Bound in Blood may bring up fond memories of laying waste in the West for some, whereas The Cartel creates cringe-worthy reminders. Needless to say, Techland’s Call of Juarez franchise has been a mixed bag, typically failing to achieve its true potential. Techland is hoping to change that with their smaller, downloadable title Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. The digital game ditches The Cartel‘s modern setting and returns to the Wild West, where it belongs and ushers in a new gunslinger, Silas Greaves. Is Techaland’s latest Old West tale worth telling? Let’s find out what’s HOT and what’s NOT in our review of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. HOT Strong Wild West Narrative Call of Juarez: Gunslinger tells the tale of Silas Greaves. In fact, Silas himself narrates his own story as he recounts his revenge and justice-filled ventures through varied lands to eager listeners surrounding him. It’s a narrative that is enjoyable for two reasons: First, Wild West icons such as Billy the Kid appear and spruce up the tall tale. Second, Silas remembers details or corrects himself part way through his stories, leading to instantaneous changes in the environment and enemies. For example, at one point the player is facing off against a bunch of Apache Indians standing atop a canyon shooting down at Silas. He then corrects a misunderstanding and says that he was facing off against bandits that were fighting APACHE style. This leads to the Apache Indians disappearing one by one as they are replaced by the bandits. The ever-changing narrative leads to other interesting moments, such as routes appearing as Silas remembers them or entire sections of levels rewinding as the “true” version is told. The story gets the job done and it’s engaging enough, but don’t expect more complex titles like Red Dead Redemption to be dethroned. Stylized Arcade Action Gunslinger revitalizes arcade shooters with its subtly cell-shaded visuals, exaggerated headshot effects and smooth gunplay. It brings the dual-wielding gunslinging beloved by fans from older Call of Juarez with the added touch of insanity of kill multipliers and trick shots. However, you won’t be restricted to firing off two revolvers simultaneously if that isn’t your style. There are three skill trees in which the player can invest accrued skill points, all promoting a different play style. There’s your dual-wielding revolver specialist; the hawkeye rifleman; and the shotgun-toting, close-quarters king. Each cylinder-styled skill path offers up new weapons and new abilities. Working through the close-quarter skills opens up a special Silver Shotgun as well as the ability to dual-wield sawed-off shotguns (and the pair makes quite the impact). Whether you like picking off enemies from afar or closing the distance quickly with buckshot, the choice is yours and the game will award you accordingly. The arcade style is rather addictive, as you find new ways to dispatch the opposition. Sure, there’s your standard (and satisfying) headshot, but you...

A lot of information has been spread about Microsoft and the Xbox One’s ability to play used games. It’s hard to know what is true or not since Microsoft itself has been flip flopping its remarks too. Here is all of the latest information we’ve gathered around the net. First off, Larry Hyrb (Major Nelson) made another announcement on Xbox One and used games: “The ability to trade in and resell games is important to gamers and to Xbox. Xbox One is designed to support the trade in and resale of games. Reports about our policies for trade in and resale are inaccurate and incomplete. We will disclose more information in the near future.” He did not specify anything we have not heard before, but it’s good to know he used the word “inaccurate” and “incomplete” in there. That first rumor about used games costing the same as full priced games scared away a lot of gamers. It’s likely that first rumor is false (hopefully). Secondly, a report from Polygon says used games won’t need a fee to be activated. Sources say that used games may not require a fee, but the Xbox One does need regular online checks to authenticate the games you are playing on your system. Hopefully it does not need to be checked every 24 hours… Thirdly, Eurogamer have reported that the activation fee will be paid by the retailer before they go on and sell a used game to their stores. They also mentioned that part of the money will now go to Microsoft and the publisher as well as the retailer. Unlike before where the retailer gets 100% of the profits made from a used game. One thing that sounds annoying is that Eurogamer suggests used games won’t be as cheap anymore because of this new policy that has been imposed. Bear in mind this is all unconfirmed information at the moment. Hopefully Microsoft (between now and November) announces the legitimate policy it has regarding used games with the Xbox One.

Tru Blu Games not only shows new gameplay footage of Rugby Challenge 2, but also explains the changes that have been made to improve the game as well. New Zealand developer Sidhe have been hard at work trying to make this the most accurate representation of the sport of Rugby ever seen in a game. The game will be released worldwide from June 13th for the PS3 and Xbox 360. It will be known as Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge 2 in France and South Africa, All Blacks Rugby Challenge 2 in New Zealand, and Rugby Challenge 2: The Lions Tour Edition for the rest of the world.
Special Editions in the video game industry are nothing new. Most of them are more expensive than the average video game. I don’t think anything comes close to the special edition of Grid 2 that Codemasters has lined up. Only one copy of this version of Grid 2 is available because it comes with a real race car. If you are rich enough, this special edition of Grid 2 will set you back £125,000. It has already been recognized by Guinness as the most expensive video game. Here’s what you get: -BAC Mono decked out in Grid livery -A day at the BAC factory -A Helmet -A Race Suit -A copy of Grid 2 -A PS3 console This beast of a collection is only available at GAME in the UK. You’ll probably have to request it personally and they’ll probably run a background check on you too to see if you can actually afford it! Not to mention there’s only one available copy too. Check out images of this Grid 2 collection below:

Techland, creators of Dead Island, are ready to reveal their latest project, Dying Light. Dying Light is a cooperative, first-person title set in an open world filled with zombies with an emphasis on melee combat. Sound familiar? Sure it does. But Techland is promising to separate Dying Light from Dead Island with new features such as a full day/night cycle and a Mirror’s Edge-type free-running mechanic. The day/night cycle is probably the most important aspect (although it may not be as cool as the parkour element) since players will be forced to scavenge items during the day before nightfall. Once the darkness sets in, the shambling infected are replaced with stronger and more competent foes. Thankfully, you’re free-running abilities will help keep you one step ahead of the flesh-eaters as you leap your way around the rooftops of the urban areas. Also, unlike Dead Island‘s immune cast, the character in Dying Light is already infected. While this doesn’t sound like a positive thing, the virus allows the player to detect more dangerous zombies. The elements sound promising, but we’ll have to wait till E3 to see if Techland’s newest zombie killer can pull itself out from under the shadow of one of their most recent franchises. Dying Light is set to release in 2014 on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
