Crackdown 2 Review

Realtime Worlds is not behind this sequel. Instead Ruffian Games has taken over. No need to worry though since Billy Thomson is the creative director overlooking Crackdown 2. He worked on the original Crackdown and then switched from Realtime Worlds to Ruffian Games. The series continues its over-the-top sandbox gameplay that it pulled off so well the first time around. Does the sequel maintain the same top notch experience as the first? Do the new tweaks and additions help or hinder the game? Let's find out.

DICE has taken over the development of the online component of Medal of Honor bringing their Frostbite engine and Bad Company formulas to a different franchise. ModNation Racers for the PSP is the portable counterpart of the console version under the same name. Take the kart based gameplay from games like Mario Kart and add it with the expansive options that the "Play, Create, Share" style shown in LittleBigPlanet brought us and you'll have an idea of what this game is all about. With this in mind the game will be presenting players with an extremely customizable and personal experience in this racing genre which hasn't seen much innovation in a long time. Of course you will be able to take part in a scripted career mode, but as with LBP the game truly shines in its customization and community.
