This weekend sees UFC 226 headlined by Stipe Miocic vs Daniel Cormier. The two big guys will be fighting for the UFC Heavyweight Title.
A simulation has now been run on EA Sports UFC 3 giving us a small preview and prediction on what could happen in the real fight. EA Sports writes: “This is a very close matchup, with each fighter holding a notable advantage over the other. While Stipe has the striking advantage, Cormier brings Olympic-level wrestling to the table, and both enter the Octagon with legendary reputations for toughness. The winner will be the fighter who controls the pace and where the fight goes, utilizing their strengths and taking advantage of their opponent’s weaknesses.”
The match is quite close in the first two rounds with both men trading blows and Cormier going for a lot of takedown attempts. That said, Cormier cannot really put down Miocic for good.
It’s not until the third round do we see the conclusion. Miocic knocks out Cormier in this round with a huge uppercut that finishes off the fight. Miocic is still the Heavyweight champion according to this simulation!
