Rumor: Forza Horizon 4 Set To Be Released In 2018

It looks like Microsoft is keeping to its schedule of releasing a Forza game every year. One year is dedicated to the main series while the other year focuses on the Horizon spinoff. A new rumor suggests we should be seeing Forza Horizon 4 later this year.

As posted by a person on Reddit, the Brazilian Classification board has rated Forza Horizon 4 and it shows that the game will be due out sometime in 2018. Presumably Microsoft usually likes to release the Horizon games in late September or early October.

Much like very other Microsoft exclusive, the game will be available on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. At launch, the game is sure to look very beautiful on the Xbox One X.

That said, we are only saying this as a rumor for now mainly because Microsoft has yet to officially announce its existence. Not to mention the Brazilian Classification board deleted the listing for the game for some reason on its official website. The fact that the listing had to be taken down could be a sign that this rumor is true though.

Even though the Forza Horizon games are fun, Microsoft should invest more on new IPs like it did last year with Cuphead. The trio of Halo, Forza and Gears isn’t going to attract new buyers to the Xbox brand in the future if gamers aren’t interested in those franchises/genres.

2017 was not an eventful year for Microsoft in terms of exclusive video games. The only standout was Cuphead. This year is a bit of an improvement as the main three out in 2018 are Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2. More games should be announced later this year since Fall 2018 hasn’t been set in stone yet.
