Some lucky people will be able to play an early build of MLB The Show 18 later this week. This is because a closed Alpha Test will be happening.
As announced on the official website, a closed alpha test will be happening in order to improve the online experience in MLB The Show 18 before its launch early next year.
The closed Alpha test will occur on “December 22nd at 10 AM PDT and close December 26 at 10 AM PDT.” Only a select few of PS4 owners will be invited so check your notifications to see if you have been given a message to participate.
You don’t need PlayStation Plus to play the alpha test and people that have not pre-ordered the game are also eligible to play if they get invited. The only modes you can play in the alpha are ” Head to Head, Battle Royale, Conquest, and Extra Innings”.
