Watch Out for your Weapon Durability
The weapons that you get to use have durability and this will decrease after each time you use it. Look for the red bar at the bottom of the weapon image. As you hit enemies, it goes down. To replenish the red bar, go to the Bonfire. If at some point you keep using the weapon and the red bar goes down completely, the weapon will break and you will need to repair it.
I talked to her, she said I could level and now I just cant.
You just have to talk to her a few times, after you’ve initiated about 3 dialogues from her she gives you the options to level and increase the estus similar to that of the maiden in Demon Souls.

Make sure you have enough souls and ALWAYS keep pressing ‘talk’ until the NPC’S chat cycles around as youc an miss many very important clues and options.
well thats stupid. i lost 5k souls because i didnt know i had to cycle her dialouge just to get the level up option. kind of an unnecessary hurdle if u ask me.
