Developers Bohemia Interactive has sold over 172,500 copies of DayZ Standalone in the first day of official release.
According to boss Maruk Spanel, they sold a massive number of copies of DayZ Standalone within the first 24 hours. The game is currently still in its early alpha stage so there are still many bugs in the game, but the Steam page warns players prior to purchase that this is the case. The game is currently only available on Steam Early Access priced at £19.99 / $29.99 so it may be best to wait for Dean’s team to fix most of the bugs before purchasing.
