New Pokemon and Mega Evolutions found within files for Pokemon X/Y

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

It has been almost three weeks since Pokemon X and Pokemon Y released to the mass of Pokemon fans. However, the surprises keep on coming as some new Pokemon and a couple new Mega Evolutions were found through someone looking deeper into the game’s data.

By combing through the game’s data, three brand new Pokemon were discovered that are not available in the game by any other means. Diancie is a Rock/Fairy type, Hoopa is a Ghost/Psychic Type, and Volcanion is a very strange Fire/Water type. This takes the Pokedex up to 721, with everything starting with 722 giving a bad egg, so these should be the last three new Pokemon possible in this game.

There is no word on what the point of these Pokemon are, but the best guess would be they will be available as an event Pokemon at some point in the future. According to Kotaku, The Pokemon Company says that “they have nothing to report at this time.”

Also from looking into the data of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, two new Mega Evolutions were found, Mega Latios and Mega Latias, both of which use a different Mega Stone to evolve. Oddly, both Mega Latios and Mega Latias look almost exactly the same. At this point there is also no idea how to get these in game, so it may also end up being an event Pokemon with the new Mega Stones.

  1. Assuming this is true, then for Latios/Latias I think they might combine to make one pokemon (temporary DNA splicing???).
The mega evolution for Latios/Latias is purple. You get purple when you mix red (Latias) and blue (Latios)… so… maybe that’s how it is…

  2. Wait the mega latios does not have the mega stone thing after its name Maby it is like keyrome with DNA splice
