Most Anticipated Games of November 2013

This month definitely should be an interesting list with the release of both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One this month. I don’t believe I will be able to get either one of the systems quite yet at launch, but I will go ahead and list the games coming at launch for each console that has caught my eye and would be getting if I had the consoles. And let’s not forget Nintendo as they have multiple games that have really got me interested as well.

Some of the games for next generation consoles will release in the days prior to the console’s release, including Killzone: Shadow Fall that already is available now, but for the purposes of this list, I will put them in the list based on the console’s release date. For those that are coming to both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, I will list them based on the PlayStation 4 release date due to the console launching first. Now, let’s take a look at my most anticipated games of November, in chronological order.

Wii Fit U

Most Anticipated Games of November (1)
This game have already released and thus be a little late for this list, but I’m putting it on anyways since it launched on November 1. I have loved the two previous Wii Fit titles and have honestly been able to use the game as a way to help lose weight over the last year or so especially. While the game may not be the most strenuous, and requires you to do other exercises outside of the game, it really does help you to get in a routine and learn the best exercises for you to obtain your goals. With the ability to play on the GamePad exclusively, I can’t wait to try the game. The odd thing about this release is that it actually is available for free for everyone right now on the Wii U eShop. You get the game for free for one month to play, as long as you have a Wii Balance Board already to use with it. Then you can purchase the game after, or just purchase a Fit Meter and be able to use the full game for free from here on. Quite the great deal from Nintendo that you shouldn’t miss if you own a Balance Board.

Call of Duty: Ghosts

Most Anticipated Games of November (5)
Being only a few days away, this of course had to be one of the first games on my list. I may be one of the stranger gamers, but I always look more forward to the single player campaigns in Call of Duty games than I do the multiplayer. I do really enjoy the multiplayer as well, but I always get really invested in the single player campaigns. Most recently, my two favorite campaigns have been the two Black Ops games, especially the first one. Of course there were all the jokes when the game was first shown about the dogs and everything, but I really look forward to seeing how they bring everything together. This is a game that I will likely be getting for the current generation consoles at first, after it comes out November 5, but it will also be coming at launch for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection

Most Anticipated Games of November (6)
This may be a re-release of the first Lords of Shadow and combining a separate HD release of Mirror of Fate, but I am really interesting in checking out this game since I’ve yet to play either one. This sounds like the perfect collection to get to play them for the first time. With the included demo for the upcoming Lords of Shadow 2 included as well, it’s hard to resist. The Lords of Shadow collection will be coming on November 5 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Wii Sports Club

Most Anticipated Games of November (16)
This one is kind of an interesting specimen as it’s available in one of two options. You can download it and pay to buy a sport permanently, or you can choose to pay-to-play by the day. The first Wii Sports is what made the Wii the phenomenon it was in its early days, and the addition of online play to the mix makes this one even better. I can’t wait to complete with Wii Bowling online for the first time. The first sports will be available to download on the Wii U eShop on November 7.

Injustice: Gods Among Us – Ultimate Edition

Most Anticipated Games of November (11)
The re-release of the popular NetherRealm Studios fighter is another case of a game that is coming to both the current generation and next generation of consoles, but this one is also getting a new release on a handheld. On November 12, the game with all the DLC will be coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with also a release on PS Vita for the first time. This time around the game will be missing the Wii U, unlike the original. This game will only be making a next-gen appearance on the PlayStation 4 while missing the Xbox One. This game has turned into one of my most played games of the year, so with all of the DLC that I still haven’t purchased, it just makes sense to get the Ultimate Edition.

Killzone: Shadow Fall

Most Anticipated Games of November (9)
This is of course the biggest brand new release coming alongside the PlayStation 4 at launch. It is the next entry in the Killzone franchise and from everything we’ve seen, looks to be a faithful followup that truly shows off the ability of next generation consoles. That view of the city from a helicopter in the trailer still amazes me and I can’t wait to try out this game on November 15.

  1. So 3 re-releases, a new COD(which might as well be a re-release) and killzone shadowfall. If this really is the best november has to offer we’re looking at a really subpar month.
