Final Fantasy XIV Beginner’s Guide: Best Ways to Level Up

Dungeons

Final Fantasy XIV - Haukke Manor 05

If you are the type of MMO player that loves playing with groups, doing a mini raid with up to four people will give you the experience points you need. When you are playing through the story missions, you will unlock dungeons. Play through it and expect to rack up experience points as the trash mobs that you will take down there will offer you a massive amount of experience points. For every dungeon that you do, expect at least 50K or more experience points.

FATE

Final Fantasy XIV - quests 04

FATE or Full Active Time Event is one of the fun ways to gain experience points. Think of FATE as World events in Guild Wars 2 that involve a lot of people taking down monsters or bosses. Scattered throughout Eorzea, players will be able to team up with other people in taking down Eorzea’s greatest adversary. You can see if there is a FATE going through the Map. If you see a purple icon (as pictured above), that means there’s a World Event going on.

Make haste to FATE and make sure you contribute to the battle in order to get the maximum experience points. When you jump in , you will see a status bar to see how close they are to finishing the adversary. If you see the status bar in purple getting close to being filled up, it’s best to do everything you can to make your participation count. Be sure to spam that attack button regardless. The main goal when you see a FATE going on is to run and attack as many enemies as possible to make your contribution count in the end.

Hunting Logs

Final Fantasy XIV - Quests 06

Love taking down monsters and exploring the big world of Eorzea? If so, you can hunt monsters and fill up your Hunting Log. Depending on the class that you are playing, you will get a set of monsters that you can take down. For every amount of monsters that you take down, you gain a reward, which rewards experience points. Filling up your hunting log will require you to traverse every nook of the world to make sure you take them down.
