343 Industries has posted a job vacancy looking for a Creative Director that can “deliver a groundbreaking new AAA entertainment experience set in the Halo universe“.

It’s possible the vacancy is for someone to work on Halo 5 since the studio worked on Halo 4 and is expected to work on another trilogy for the franchise. Further description of the job says this is a rare opportunity to “impact the future of one of the industry’s most successful franchises“. It does not specify if you will be working on next generation hardware, but it’s likely 343 Industries is working towards Halo 5 on the Xbox 720.

Here are the requirements for the job:

-8+ years working in a design capacity on console titles with at least 3 titles shipped in a Design Director or Creative Director role
-Experience leading the creative team through all phases of development from concept to ship
-Successful experience with IP creation and/or existing IP with 3m + sales
-Proven track record for delivering both quality and innovation
-Has the strong ability to pitch ideas, strategic initiatives, and game concepts to all levels of management and leadership
-Ability to hold a strong creative vision while remaining collaborative and open to new ideas
-A comprehensive understanding of games (especially the action/shooter genre), gameplay mechanics and player psychology combined with an ability to identify, analyze and rectify game design and gameplay issues
-Experienced relationship management and communication skills with demonstrated experience in external team management and conflict resolution
-A working knowledge of standard industry game engines, design toolsets and production pipelines
