The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dragonborn DLC Review

NOT

Glitches Galore
Skyrim has been known to be a game that is not glitch-free. In fact, if you are scared that the Dragonborn DLC will be full of glitches, you should be. Through my experience playing the game for many hours, I’ve encountered a lot of glitches, though they’re not game-breaking. Characters randomly popping up front of you, companion pushing the person in front of you, and frame rate dipping are among the issues I’ve encountered on the DLC. Those who are now accustomed to the glitchy nature of Skyrim, the ones in Dragonborn will not bother you at all, unless it freezes, which happened to me once.

Limitation on riding the dragon
The idea of riding a dragon is cool and with the Dragonborn DLC, it will pretty much give you exactly that. For fans that are hoping that when you’re riding a dragon, you can explore any terrain you see fit, you will be disappointed. There are limitations as to where you can fly the dragon. When on air, it’s very nice to see the island from above but disappointment will strike when you realize that there are certain areas you just can’t get into. Though, one of the coolest things I’ve done is taking out enemies using my Dragon’s breath, which made me the strongest Dragonborn in Skyrim.

VERDICT

Editor's Choice AwardThe expansion that every Skyrim fan has been waiting for is finally here with Dragonborn. With Dragonborn, not only can fans explore a new island, but new lore awaits where a lot of interesting places, items, and characters are waiting to be discovered. If you are a fan of Skyrim, there’s no logical reason why you wouldn’t purchase this DLC – though you should keep in mind that there will be glitches from the beginning to end.
