WWE ’12 Ships 2 Million Copies
THQ has announced its quarterly earnings report. Although some games sold well below expectations, WWE ’12 managed to do well for itself shipping more than 2 million copies worldwide.
According to THQ, this is “in line with the expectations shared on the last investor conference call” and the game’s “sell-through is up 29% on like-for-like platforms in North America.”
WWE ’12′s success could be credited by the fact that THQ did heavy marketing for the game throughout 2011. Gamers were impressed that a “new look” Rock will be in the game and THQ surprised everyone when former UFC star Brock Lesnar was announced to be in the game also.
