A few days ago we reported that the upcoming Mass Effect 3 figurines would come bundled with DLC. Now, there’s another product that will have add-on content tied to it.
Barnes & Noble has announced that by pre-ordering The Art of Mass Effect Universe book you will receive extra content for your copy of Mass Effect 3. Here’s the official statement:
“From 1/23/12 – 2/20/12, when you pre-order a copy of The Art of Mass Effect Universe, you will receive a code to download extra game content for Mass Effect 3. This will include the collector’s rifle, among other cool content to beat out your opponents.”
With toys, books and even other games (Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning) including in-game extras for BioWare’s upcoming title, it’ll be interesting to see how well these items sell.
That’s fair shit that you have to Pre-Order a shit art book just to use collector rifle because if you have purchased the collectors edition of mass effect 2 you’ll be double charged for an item you should have automatic access to CRAP
