Dead Island has been announced and the first trailer revealed for the game has been described by critics as a work of art.
Dead Island has been described by Techland (the same developer for the Call of Juarez series), as a “first-person zombie-slasher/action-RPG.” It’s all about survival with the focus mainly on melee combat. The game is also reportedly is going to support up to four players in co-op mode where you can choose up to four different characters.
The first trailer released for the game has been both lauded and criticized. Lauded for its slow motion, music and story while criticized because the first scene you see if of a dead little girl.
Dead Island is scheduled for release later this year for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
