Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep – Unlocking the Final Chapter (Xehanort’s Report)

Once the player finishes the three main chapters of Birth by Sleep, the final chapter that unravels the ending will be available to play after meeting certain conditions.

In order to unlock the final chapter, the player must collect the 12 Xehanort’s Report. All 12 reports are scattered throughout the game and the player must get them while playing the specific characters, otherwise the player will have to play the game all over again.

Please remember that getting all of the reports and playing the game on Proud or Critical mode, the player can unlock the bonus ending easily.

Below are the locations of the Xehanort’s Report.

TERRA

Xehanort’s Report 2 – Defeat Braig in Radiant Garden
Xehanort’s Report 5 – Clear the “Weaver Fever” Arena Mode in Mirage Arena
Xehanort’s Report 8 – Defeat Master Eraqus in Land of Departure
Xehanort’s Report 11- Simply defeat the Final Boss of Terra’s Chapter.
Xehanort’s Report 12- Open the Treasure Chest that can be found in Keyblade Graveyard

VENTUS

Xehanort’s Letter – Received after leaving Land of Departure
Xehanort’s Report 1 – Can be found in the Launch Deck Treasure Chest at Deep Space.
Xehanort’s Report 9 – Can be received after finishing the Destiny Island event.
Xehanort’s Report 10 – Defeat the final boss of Ventus’ Chapter.

AQUA

Xehanort’s Report 3 – Open the Treasure Chest in Merlin’s House in Radiant Garden.
Xehanort’s Report 4 – Speak to Master Yen Sid at the Mysterious Tower.
Xehanort’s Report 6 – Defeat the boss of Enchanted Dominion
Xehanort’s Report 7 – Defeat the Final Boss of Aqua’s Chapter.

    So I still have to collect all the reports if I’m playing on proud or critical? Can you please clarify, as I’ve read elsewhere that collection of the reports is not requisite if you’re playing on Proud or Critical.

  2. @jhardy89 I think the game has two unlockables, the secret (or “bonus”) ending, Blank Points, and the Final Chapter. To unlock the Final Chapter, which is a playable game chapter (I think?), you have to get all Xehanort’s Reports–i.e., what this post is about.

    To unlock the bonus ending you have to finish the Final Chapter (again, I’m not sure) on Proud or Critical mode; you also have to get 100% Reports (monster info and such) on Normal mode. You can’t unlock it on Easy.

  4. I don’t think that you have to redo the whole game if you didn’t get all the reports, just go back and find them, then redo the ending. No biggie.

  5. For some reason I didn’t get anything when i completed 2Weaver Feaver” in Mirage Arena, and i got Xehanort’s Report 12 with Ventus.

  6. @nasman92: It’s indeed not ‘Weaver Feaver’, but ‘Sinister Sentinel’ you have to complete when you play as Terra, to get Xehanort’s Report #5. =)

  7. that absoltly sucks i beat all three storys now i got to beat terras over cause i dont got that letter 12

  10. You get Xehanort’s Report 12 with Ventus in the Key blade graveyard not Terra. and you have to defeat “sinister Sentinel” not “Weaver Feaver” to get Xehanort’s Report 5 everything else is correct.
