Stores Breaking Street Date for Halo Reach Already

When it comes to Halo games, fans are going crazy when it comes to stores selling it early. With Halo Reach coming in just a couple of weeks, it seems that some retailers are already breaking the embargo.

According to our anonymous tipster, an unnamed retailer is starting to sell Halo Reach. It is not clear as to what retailer is selling it. To someone that sent us this picture, we hope you don’t play it yet online as Microsoft will surely ban you for playing a pre-release UNLESS you really bought this from the store
Halo Reach is expected to release this September 14th. Check back with us at the day of release for our EXCLUSIVE coverage.

Thanks to Anonymous

Update: Just to update the story, we have no ways of knowing if the game is really indeed bought in store. The tipster that sent out the pictures didn’t say what store they bought it from.

  1. author of the article…. microsoft have already said that only pirated copies of halo reach plays will be banned… they will not ban legit purchases from retailers as its not the fault of the consumer… please do your research properly before posting a high profile article like this.

  2. You won’t get banned for playing the legit copy though. Only the pirated one, just like with 3.

  3. Actually Mark, Microsoft have said that if you’re playing a legit, store-purchased copy, on a legit, non-modified Xbox 360 console, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

    They can tell the difference.

    You should update your story.

  4. You will not get banned for playing early. I have played many games pre release including halo 3 with no issues. If it is a legit copy you are fine.

  5. This happened as well with ODST. Both Microsoft and Bungie stated that the consumers will not pay for the ineptitude of a retailer. Basically, if you buy if from a store who can’t read “DO NOT SELL BEFORE XX DATE”, it’s not your fault

  6. Playing the game three weeks early will raise a flag on Microsoft unless you’re a member of a press or media that received a review copy. Whenever we get a high profile game such as like this, we are always asked to play this offline until it’s closer to release date.

We don’t have a legitimate proof that this game is indeed bought in the store. To be on the safe side, I will highly suggest to play it online.

Microsoft doesn’t like this kind of things. If this is indeed bought from a store, Microsoft will of course take action to this.

  7. damn lucy yanks target seem to be selling the early and look at this greedy dirty rat
