The release date for the next iteration in the long running wrestling game series has been revealed.

WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2011 will be released on October 29, 2010. It’ll be released simultaneously for the following formats: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PSP and the PS2.

The newest game promises to bring us an improved physics engine. Meaning for more realistic style of wrestling and more creative ways of utilizing weapons. It is expected that more than 70 current WWE Superstars and Divas will be included in this year’s version.

More information about the game will be revealed during Summerslam weekend. Summerslam Axxess will be the event for which more details will be unveiled. It will be held at the Nokia Plaza in Los Angeles on August 14 and 15. Summerslam 2010 the PPV will be held in the Staples Center on August 15.

Update:

This is a projected PAL release date for the game. The North American release is scheduled to be on October 26th 2010. As mentioned above, more on the game should be revealed later at Summerslam Axxess.
