The next highly anticipated entry into the Metal Gear franchise, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, has been given the European release date of May 28 2009, mere months after the game’s initial release in Japan on 18 March. This could mean that a North American release date is not far behind.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is one of the two Metal Gear games currently in production, alongside Metal Gear Solid: Rising; Peace Walker is, however, known to be receiving more direct input from the creator of the critically acclaimed franchise, Hideo Kojima. Peace Walker will focus on Naked Snake (Otherwise known as Big Boss) and the events leading up to the original Metal Gear.

I myself am a fan of the Metal Gear franchise, but have sadly not played many of the games. Once I up my knowledge and play some of the older games in the series, I will be getting a PSP, likely along with this game at the same time.
