Call of Duty: Classic Coming to XBLA and PSN This Week

Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Classic, the game that started it all, will be releasing on the PlayStation Store and the XBOX Live Marketplace this week. The game was originally distributed for free via the Hardened and Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2. This is now your chance to play the very first Call of Duty game on the next-gen consoles for the price of $14.99 or 1200 Microsoft Points.

Check back the review of the game later this week.

Created by Infinity Ward in 2003, the original Call of Duty launched the hit franchise with more than 80 Game of the Year awards and 50 Editors’ Choice honors. Ported to Xbox LIVE and the PlayStation Network by Aspyr, Call of Duty: Classic is rated “T” (Teen) by the ESRB for Blood & Violence, and is currently available as downloadable content in the Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare 2® Collector’s Editions published by Activision Publishing, Inc.
