The fix that we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. If you are pissed off on how the trophies are not unlocking after meeting certain criteria, a patch that fixes that problem is finally available upon signing in through the PlayStation Network. The update 1.02 fixes only the Trophy Support and not the party invites that we’ve been asking.
That is indeed fast but let’s wait for another patch that will fix the invites. Go IW! Do it ASAP. I want to invite my friends!

Do we know if once installed the patch will enable players to be awarded with trophies where criteria have already been met but due to the bug not awarded?
For example I’ve got 4 stars in spec ops but haven’t been given the corresponding trophy – will I be awarded this after installing the 1.02 patch or is it going to be a case of having to delete all saved data and start again?

Alright this is bs man…I got the patch early this morning and everything was fine except I don’t know if friend invites worked probably not no one I know was on but now I can’t sign in to the PSN at all. It’s obviously a playstation problem and not my connection because I am typing this right now…I really really want to invite my friends, and now I really really just want the damn game to work.

The invite problem is easyly solvede with this workaround…
1 Player (the host) create a game
He now invites the ppl he what for party.
before the ppl how got invite accepts the invite goto main menu (in game) press the PS button goto Playstation Network hover over Account Management, press Triangle seleckt sigh out. when signed out sign back in goto resivede mails open invite and accept.
This work around workes every time

i dont get an update 1.02 when i load the game and when i go to online it takes forever to load the playlists and doesnt even work

My tropies wont synch at the system level. Now the online version of Modern Warefare 2 doesnt work at all! What is going on ?
Bond QoS still works fine.
This is has to be a major problem for the release of this game. Have they taxed the existing infrastructure so much that it fails for this game ? There were over 240,000 players on last night. On the first night of release. You can expect this to begin the talks from Sony about paying for online service (like XBox). In order for Sony to keep the environment always expanding to allow for huge releases like this impacting the system so much in a 24 hr period, will require big dollars.

Ok… I finished the first five missions on veteran difficulty before the patch and didnt get any trophy.. now that the patch’s on,, I still didnt get any trophy.. does that mean I should start all over again??

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.. But PS3 Trophies will NOT backdate. You have to start again to earn them all.
But don’t feel sorry for yourselves. I learnt this the hard way with Burnout Paradise – over 90 hours played because they promised they would backdate Trophies. But when released, they realised it is not possible.

I just bought MW2 for PS3 and inserted the game for the first time. Its says I need to update before I can even play. I update it but the download always stops and then it says there is an error occurred during the download operation (80710723)…could someone please help me, thanks!
