Link is a well known musical mastermind; the Hyrulian has used an Ocarina to travel to time and a Conductor Baton to control the wind, among others. His next instrument, however, is set to appear in upcoming Nintendo DS game, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
The new instrument is known as the Spirit Pipes, which are initially a set of pan pipes, which-you guessed it-grants you some special power. You play the instrument by blowing into the Nintendo DS’ microphone and while cycling though different pipes on the stylus to change the pitch of the music. Little info other than this has been released.
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will be released on December 7 2009 in North America, December 11 2009 in Europe, and December 23 2009 in Japan.
