Phantasy Star Portable 2 Supports Online Gameplay

Sega of Japan announced today that Phantasy Star Portable 2 for the Playstation Portable is set to release December 3 in Japan. The game feature online play using the PSPĀ  infastructure mode, making it truly online and not just local like the original.

Up to four people can join in using both ad-hoc and infastructure mode. Phantasy Star Portable 2 takes place three years after the original. The Goulart solar system is in danger of being completely wiped out. It’s up to you to prevent thisĀ  from happening, doing everything you can to protect yourself and everyone else in the galaxy.

As of now, this title has only been announced for Japan. However, the original game was localized, so it’s only a matter of time before this game reacher our shores as well. For now, check out some screenshots:
