Each of this week’s new Nintendo Download titles is a single-player affair, but they’re all quite different in genre and style, offering something special for a variety of gaming tastes.

On the Wiiware, Guybrush’s adventures continue on the high seas as pox-plagued pirates lay siege to the innocent Mer-People in Tales of Monkey Island. Next up is 3-2-1, Rattle Battle!, a single-player party game packed with exciting mini-games that you can register high scores on Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection to compete with others.

Today’s Virtual Console is offering us Alis, the fearless female protagonist, out to avenge her brother’s death at the hands of cruel dictator King Lassic in Phantasy Star, a pioneer in the role-playing game genre by Sega.

Finally the ever-popular Puzzle League, where you connect blocks of the same color to clear them from the screen, comes to Nintendo DSiWare in the form of Puzzle League™ Express.
