Today Namco-Bandai Games released Tales of Versus for the PSP in Japan. If you love the Super Smash Brawl series then you’ll feel right at home with this fantasy crossover fighter. The game features characters from various titles in the popular Tales series. The multiplayer game is ad-hoc only allowing up to four people to play against each other. The gameplay consists of a story mode and arcade battle. Characters will be unlocked as you play through the story mode. The first two characters available in the story mode are Lloyd and Colette from Tales of Symphonia. The world map is done in a board game style and as you travel through you unlock more characters.

In the story mode, each set of the characters has a different scenario that you have to play through. Each battle will be ranked and before you wage in a battle you have a chance to view the stats and strengths of the characters.

There are currently no plans for a US release. We will post more info on this game in the coming days as soon as we get a hands-on with this game later this week.
